In order to swap out your battery, check wiring connections, or replace your speed controller, you'll need to first remove your battery box:

Before you begin make sure your ZBoard is off. The ZBoard is off when the side of the switch without the led is compressed.

Step 1:

To remove the battery box you'll need the 1/8" allen and a 3/8" wrench. If you do not have a 3/8" wrench you can also use a set of pliers.

Step 2:

Slide an ~2 inch tall item such as a roll of tape or book underneath the battery box.

Step 3:

Remove the velcro handle cover. Put it to the side.

Step 4:

Use the allen and wrench to remove the six screws holding the box to the deck. Put these to the side.
